In the gallery below you will see a sample of the objects that I have made along with a short description of the items. I hope you see something that strikes an idea in you for a piece that I can make for you.

Below you see a couple of the triptych I have made. They both have dementionality to them with a lot of relief. The bottle is cut diagonally and appears to be emerging from the crushed cork background and the grape cluster has has about two and half inches of depth. Additionally the corks are designed with various heights as well.

Each panel is 3 by 2 feet making up an overall size of approximately 6 by 3 feet.

Below is my version of a barrel stave candle votive. I have high graded the concept by blending the stave with wine glasses. The stem of the wine glass penetrates seamlessly through the stave giving the appearance that that the stave is floating. As you can see either the inside or outside of the stave can be made to be upward facing. It makes a spectacular dining table centerpiece.

Length is approximately 34.5 inches (the length of a barrel), 9 inches high (I use large wine glasses) and the width of the stave used is approximately 4 inches (which can vary slightly). Note: Wine glass stem penetrates barrel stave without cutting the wood.

This is one of my favorite pieces – it reminds me of enjoying wine with friends and the good time we had.

The Wine Glasses are outlined in metal wine barrel bands, corks from red and white wine are used as the fill.  They are approximately 30 inches high and 15 inches wide.

This piece reminds me of taking that first sip of wine after a long sniff and experiencing the great sensation of the taste being even better then the aroma.

Wine glass outline is made from wooden wine barrel staves cut and bent into the outline of a wine glass, corks from red or white wine can used as the fill.  Approximately 36 inches high and 18 inches wide.  Can easily make a pair of red and white wine glasses.

I use corks as background in many geometries – linear, Herringbone, basketweave, and on end. It’s the on end pattern that presents an the opportunity for an attractive natural color gradient to emerge in some of my pieces. The two pieces below illustrate two different size options of a heart. The one with name was commissioned as a wedding present and the other bigger heart was commissioned as a decorative wall hanging.

This is a partial barrel sconce that can be hung vertically or horizontally. The finish on this sconce is weathered, I can also produce them to look like they have been lifted directly out of a new limousin oak barrel. The width can be adjusted to your preference. I can also backlight the sconces with LED lighting powered by batteries or wired to connect via a cord or directly to an electric circuit.

The sconce is height of a barrel (approximately 34.5 inches and the picture is of a barrel section that is 8.5 inches wide).

Below is one of my first pieces. I like it as it used a barrel top and the barrel’s top metal band as the canvas upon which I added the cork hatched field and grape cluster with leaf and stem. What is really unique is the three dimensionality of the grape cluster and outer cork ring. It gives the piece a lot of dynamics as opposed to a flat two dimension piece.

The diameter of the piece is about 24 inches and the relief from the wall is about 5 inches.

I have used the barrel top dimension to produce a variety of customized 24 inch round plaques. Below is just a sample of whith I can do. Size, Cork Color, Field and other design aspects subject are up to you as I can make just about anything.

Here are three images of epoxy coated table tops. I have done a number of these for a local restaurant highlighting wineries that the carry on their wine list. I can use your corks creating a table top that when you see a specific cork it will bring you right back to that special occasion when you opened and enjoyed the wine. The Robert Foley table used all Foley new corks while the Colgin and Palmaz tables contained used corks from around the world.

I can make the table in a custom size to meet your area requirements

I find barrels with their internal and external patina to be wonderful starting points for creating a new piece. As you can see in this piece I took two-thirds of a barrel and converted it into a wine hutch. I never use screws to hold the partial barrel together keeping its original barrel band exterior. In this configuration I refreshed the barrel’s exterior to new while keeping the stained cabernet internal patina. The barrel hutch holds 12 hanging wine glasses and 12 bottles of wine.

The piece is the height of a wine barrel (around 36 inches) and front to back the barrel hutch is approximately 16 inches deep.

If you liked the Wine Barrel Hutch and wondered where the other third of the barrel went – here it is as a Chandelier. It hangs over a dining table in a wine cellar. Lighting is 3 LED dimmable bulbs on black pipe fixture.

The below two pictures illustrate two aspects of the Chandelier. First that it contains the cooperage label on the heads of the barrel and the second, a bit of how I assemble the staves without the use of screws through the barrel bands. I use barrel nails to hold the edges of the bands to the staves giving the piece a very clean barrel look.

I ran across these oak stave barrel balls that make up the grapes in the clusters from a winery’s web site. The balls were toasted just like a barrel and then used by the winery in neutral barrels to impart the oak flavor in their wine. I bought a bunch without knowing exactly I was going to do with them. They sat around the studio for a few months and then one day the inspiration hit me. Approximate Dimensions: Length – 8 inches, Diameter – 5 inches, Can be finishes matte to glossy

Below is a riddling rack coffee table with glass top and custom base. Riddling racks are used to make sparkling wine produced using the methode champenoise. It can be made as a dining, bistro or coffee table. The maximum size is 56 inches long and 30 inches wide (the original rack size).
